Sophomore Sarah Hansen (McKean, Pa./General McLane HS) finished with game-highs in points (16) and rebounds (9), as the FGCU women’s basketball team used a balanced attack to defeat the Bears of Mercer, 92-55, at Alico Arena on Thursday night. Every player that saw the floor for the Green and Blue scored at least two points in the win.

Behind another torrid shooting night from the field that included a season-high 13 three-pointers, the FGCU men's basketball team defeated visiting Longwood in convincing fashion, 101-58, in a non-conference contest Tuesday night at Alico Arena. The win is the fourth in five games for the Eagles, who even their record at 10-10 on the season, equaling their win total from all of last year. The 100-point outing is FGCU’s second since joining Division I in 2007-08, while it also set a record for its largest win in D-1 history.

Senior Courtney Chihil (Tipp City, Ohio/Alter HS) has been named to CollegeSports360's Primetime Performer Honor Roll. Chihil earned the honor after leading the Green and Blue to a 59-55 win over A-Sun rival Stetson last week (Jan. 21).
