Matt Moretti was named the Athletics Communication Assistant at Florida Gulf Coast University in September, 2013.
Moretti will be responsible for overseeing and managing all media and public relations responsibilities for women’s soccer and baseball. He will also serve as the primary video production contact for the department which includes execution of all A-Sun TV productions.
Moretti began his professional career at St. Bonaventure University where he served as the Assistant Director of Sports Information. While there he served as the media and public relations contact for women's basketball, men's soccer, softball and lacrosse while handling all video production for department.
Moretti served as an intern in the Sports Information Office at St. Bonaventure for three years. As an intern he gained experience writing for GoBonnies.com for all 14 varsity sports. In 2011 and 2012, Moretti was involved in the department’s increasing presence in social and new media, primarily YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook. During his senior year he produced, cut, edited and voiced over many post-game and season highlights exclusively for women’s basketball. He helped plan, coordinated and executed the 2011 “Brown and White Night.” Moretti also designed, created, produced and edited “A Legacy Defined” – a film created for the Athletic Department which told the story of the 2011-12 basketball seasons.
Moretti graduated from St. Bonaventure in May 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Studies. The Wellsville, N.Y. native spent the previous four years serving as a manager for the women’s basketball team where he oversaw video coordinator duties during his senior season in which the Bonnies advanced to the Sweet 16.
