Nick Bennett enters his third season as an assistant coach, serving as both a recruiter and on the floor coach at Florida Gulf Coast University.

Bennett played collegiately at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point where he helped guide the Pointers to Back to Back DIII National Championships. He was named 2004 Final Four MVP, and in 2005 Bennett was named a D3Hoops.com First Team All-American.

Upon graduating from UWSP in 2005 with a degree in Broad-field Social Science, Bennett served for one year as graduate assistant coach at his Alma Mater. Last season Bennett worked with the Marquette Basketball program as the Director of Basketball Technology.

In addition to his recruiting and on floor coaching duties, Bennett will also oversee the academic progress of the FGCU Men’s Basketball Team.

Bennett, a native of Stevens Point, Wis., now resides in Fort Myers.
