Director of Athletics Advancement
Graham Diemer is entering his third year with FGCU Athletics after joining the department in 2011 and is currently serving as Director of Athletic Advancement. At FGCU he is responsible for overseeing the Eagles Club, coordinating the signature philanthropic enterprise “Night at the Nest” event, proposal writing and fundraising for capital projects and major gifts to Athletics.
Working with the Eagles Club Advisory Board, he has helped to bring additional focus to the FGCU’s annual fund efforts with record growth the last two years including this year with the largest dollars and largest membership in school history. During his brief tenure, FGCU has added four new Eagles Scholarship Society members (minimum 15k annual donation), while also initiating the FGCU Coaches Circle for Excellence to retain and attract talented coaches.
Prior to moving to Southwest Florida, he spent 10 years in Madison, Wisc. working in the finance industry and maintained a mortgage origination license. During his time in Madison, Graham worked with the athletic department at the University of Wisconsin in event management and game day roles. He also spent time volunteering for fundraising events held by the University of Wisconsin Foundation.
He brings a passion for collegiate athletics along with an ambition to help the athletic department with its development mission. He is excited for the opportunity to work with administrators, the Eagles Club Board of Advisors, coaches and student-athletes to help continue the evolution of FGCU athletics.
Diemer is a native of Madison, Wisc. and earned an undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater in 2000. While at UWW he was a two-year captain for the basketball team and participated in the NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Tournament. He currently resides in Bonita Springs.
