Anthony Richards, ATC, LAT
Assistant Athletic Trainer Intern (W. Swimming & Diving, M/W Cross Country)
Tony is in his first year at FGCU, working as an athletic trainer for Women’s Swimming and Diving, and Men’s and Women’s Cross Country.
As an undergraduate, he attended Central Michigan University and graduated with honors. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training and Sports Medicine. While at CMU, Tony had the privilege of working with the collegiate wrestling, softball, football, and volleyball programs. He also worked as a student athletic trainer, for the softball team at St. Joseph University, in Philadelphia, PA.
His clinical experience includes a semester long clinical rotation at Midland Bullock Creek High School. Tony mainly worked with the Football and assisted with Volleyball, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Cheerleading, Tennis, and Men’s and Women’s Cross Country.
Tony is also a member of the National Athletic Training Association (NATA), the Great Lake Athletic Trainer’s, and the Michigan Athletic Trainer’s Society.
