Sports Information Office
The Florida Gulf Coast University Sports Information Office is located in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics in Alico Arena. The Sports Information Office is on the third floor in room 1090.
Press/Photo Credentials
The Sports Information Department at Florida Gulf Coast University is ready to assist the working media in any way possible. We will gladly fulfill all reasonable requests. When requesting credentials for the the 2010-11 season, we urge you to do so at least 24 hours in advance. Media regularly assigned to cover FGCU and the visiting school will receive top priority. Credentials can be picked up at the Sports Information Office or will-call window at the front entrance of Alico Arena.
NCAA policy establishes that only photographers on assignment will be afforded credentials. Designated areas for photographers have been marked on each baseline, all photographers must remain within the designated areas.
E-mail Service
Every press release that is released by FGCU Athletics is available via e-mail. This includes release copy and pdf-formatted game notes. To be added to the distribution list, please send an e-mail request to Patrick Pierson, Sports Information Director, at ppierson@fgcu.edu.
In-Season Player Interviews
All player interviews should be scheduled through the Sports Information Department. In making interview requests, we ask for at least 24 hours notice. Advance notice on both items will help ensure that your request will be handled efficiently. Players may not be interviewed on game day once they enter the locker room or athletic training room.
Post-Event Interview Policy
Head coaches and requested players will be available for post-game interviews after a 10 minute “cooling off” period as prescribed by the NCAA. See visiting Sports Information Director regarding interviews with members of their coaching staff or players.
In-Season Coaches Interview Policy
In-person interviews with the head coach or staff can be arranged through the Sports Information Department. The head coach and his staff may be reached for telephone interviews from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday by calling the Sports Information Office at (239) 590-7061.
Practice Coverage
Practice sessions are open to media coverage. Please notify the Sports Information Office, 24 hours in advance, if you are planning to attend a practice.
Posters & Schedule Cards
Official sport posters & schedule cards produced by FGCU Athletics Marketing are available to all Eagle fans. It is our goal to provide our sport posters & schedule cards to as many Eagle fans as possible. The sport posters & cards are available for free at home events, while supplies last.
Additional sport posters & schedule cards may be purchased by out of town fans for only $5 each (poster) and $3 per 5 cards (schedule cards), which includes shipping & handling. The poster & schedule card for each sport are normally available prior to the start of the season and are available while supplies last. Please allow 7-10 business days from receipt of your order to process and fill.
Only checks and money orders are accepted (no cash or credit card orders). If you would like to order a poster(s) and/or schedule card(s) please print and fill out the order form and mail to the address below.
