FGCU Baseball Ranked No. 12 in NCBWA Poll

FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Florida Gulf Coast University baseball team jumped 12 spots in the fifth weekly National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Division II poll released today. The Eagles are ranked No. 12 in this week’s national poll and are also ranked fourth in the Division II South Region by the NCBWA. Last week the NCBWA had FGCU tied with North Florida at No. 25. The Eagles went 6-0 this past week and extended their winning streak to 16 games to improve to 20-3 overall, 12-3 against South Region competition. Four teams from the south region, including FGCU, are among the top 12 teams in the poll. Florida Southern College holds down the No.1 spot in the poll, followed by the University of Tampa at No. 4 and Tusculum College at No. 11.
