FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Florida Gulf Coast University baseball team steps out of conference play to host the Slammin’ at Hammond on Tuesday at Hammond Stadium in Fort Myers against No. 22 Florida at 7:00 p.m. The Eagles then travel to Miami on Wednesday to face the seventh –ranked Hurricanes before facing conference foe USC-Upstate at Swanson Stadium on Friday and Saturday.

The Eagles enter this week on a seven game win streak, and have won eight of their last ten games. The Eagles have moved in to take sole possession of second place in the A-Sun after a three-game sweep over Lipscomb this past weekend. 

 

The Eagles enter this week, 1-4 against a Top 25 opponent. Last season the Eagles fell to No. 19 UCF 8-4 on March 26th, then the Eagles beat UCF 6-4 just a week later. On April 8th last season, the Eagles fell to No. 1 Miami in a 4-2 11 inning thriller in Miami. This season, the Eagles are 0-2 against a Top 25 opponent after losing to FSU 11-3 and 11-9 back on March 24th and 25th.
