Roberson Named A-Sun Player of the Week

FORT MYERS, Fla. - FGCU junior Tim Roberson (West Palm Beach, Fla.) earned Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Week honors for his efforts in the three-game sweep of USC Upstate, announced by the conference on Monday.

For the week, the West Palm Beach, Fla. native hit .625 and had a slugging percentage of 1.125, while reaching base over 60-percent of the time. Roberson also registered 10 hits, scored eight runs, drove in six runs, and had a pair of doubles and a pair of homers.

Fellow classmate Richie Erath (West Palm Beach, Fla.) received honorable mention as he helped lead FGCU to a 12-3 win on Sunday afternoon. The junior right-hander pitched a solid eight innings, allowed just two runs on nine hits, with three strikeouts and no walks. Erath is now 3-0 on the season.
