Beisner Named College Baseball 360 Primetime Performer

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Redshirt senior Brooks Beisner (Punta Gorda, Fla./Charlotte HS/Auburn) of the FGCU baseball team was named College Baseball 360 National Primetime Player of the Week, announced by the media outlet Wednesday.

Earning his first career College Baseball 360 National Primetime Player of the Week selection, Beisner has led the offensive charge this season, hitting .520 with a 1.120 slugging percentage, adding 11 RBI, six runs scored, and four home runs with a .571 on-base percentage. Additionally, Beisner ranks among the league leaders in hits (2nd, 13), RBI (3rd, 12), home runs (2nd, 4) and total bases (2nd, 28).

In the three games against the Gators, the Punta Gorda, Fla. product continued to swing a hot bat, hitting .500 (6-for-12) with a 1.167 slugging percentage, adding a pair of doubles and home runs, six RBI and three runs scored. In the series opener at Florida, Beisner factored into half of his team’s runs (3RBI-2R-HR) en route to the 8-2 win (1-for-2 with a walk). He added a double and RBI single in game two before playing a key role in the extra-inning finale (3-for-6, 2RBI, HR, 2B). On the first pitch he saw in the 7th inning of game three, Beisner launched a two-out, two-run blast over the right field wall to tie the game (4-4) and force extra innings.
