FORT MYERS, Fla. – Three-time Atlantic Sun Coach of the Year Dave Tollett and the three-time conference champion FGCU baseball program will hold their annual Eagle Baseball Camps this summer, beginning on June 24.

The Eagles will hold a prospect camp for kids in 6th-12th grade on June 24-27. The Green and Blue will hold a youth camp for ages 6-12, that will run from July 15-18. FGCU will hold an additional prospect camp on Aug. 1-3.

All three camps are held at Swanson Stadium on the FGCU campus. The cost for the first prospect camp will be $395 for commuters and $495 for overnight campers. The second prospect camp will cost $295 for commuters and $395 for overnight campers. The youth camp will be $250.

The Eagle Baseball Summer Prospect ID Camps at FGCU have been developed as a highly instructional baseball experience. The staff will consist of the FGCU baseball coaches, local coaches and current FGCU players dedicated to teaching the skills necessary to reach the collegiate playing level. The camp provides an environment that promotes discipline and hard work.

The focus of each camp is to identify possible prospects for recruitment to the FGCU baseball program, as well as allowing the FGCU baseball coaching staff to provide instruction that will improve the players' overall ability. In addition, campers will receive insight on the college recruiting process, college admission requirements and lectures on what it takes to play at the next level. The two camps have provided numerous players the experience and information necessary to continue their baseball careers beyond their current level.

The Eagle Baseball Summer Youth Day Camp’s goal is to make their experience at camp as simple and enjoyable as possible. They will do this by improving their baseball skills and developing proper playing habits while keeping it fun during the camp. Program emphasis will be on individual skills and fundamentals of the game.

The camp will include drills to correct the faults of a young player and instruct them on the proper techniques to develop their skills. Camp emphasis includes: hitting, infield, outfield, pitching, catching, games, prizes & swimming

Each player must bring his own baseball equipment. Players should bring a glove, bat, cleats, running shoes/turf shoes, hat, and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete. Catchers must bring their own gear. Helmets will be provided. Players are also asked to bring a swimsuit and towel.
