The FGCU baseball team (27-15, 11-4 Atlantic Sun) came up with a clutch inning when it needed it most, scoring four runs in a tie game in the top of the ninth to put away South Florida (22-18, 8-7 American) and come away with a 5-3 win on Tuesday night in Tampa.

The FGCU baseball team (26-15, 11-4 Atlantic Sun) will take a brief break from A-Sun play to visit South Florida (22-17, 8-7 American) on Tuesday afternoon for a rematch of an early season tilt that took place at Swanson Stadium. The Bulls came away with a 5-1 victory that day to move to 4-0 at the time.

The FGCU baseball team (26-15, 11-4 Atlantic Sun) came out hot on Saturday afternoon and put runs on the board early and often to down North Florida (17-23, 7-11 A-Sun) by a score of 11-4 to pick up the series victory.

The FGCU baseball team (25-15, 10-4 Atlantic Sun) used power to get the job done in game one while North Florida (17-22, 7-10 A-Sun) used precision from starter David Trexler in game two to shut down the Eagle bats and come away with a split in Friday's doubleheader. The rubber match and final game of the series will take place tomorrow at Noon.

Tonight's FGCU baseball (24-14, 9-3 Atlantic Sun) game at Swanson Stadium vs. North Florida (16-21, 6-9 A-Sun) has been postponed until tomorrow at 11 a.m. due to inclement weather. Should the weather remain clear following the 11 a.m. game, a second will be played in order to put the three-game series set to conclude on Saturday back on schedule.

Sitting in sole possession of second place in the Atlantic Sun standings, the FGCU baseball team (24-14, 9-3 A-Sun) returns to Swanson Stadium on Thursday evening for the first of a three-game set with North Florida (16-21, 6-9 A-Sun) and the first of six-straight at home against A-Sun opponents as the regular season enters its final month.

The FGCU baseball team (24-14, 9-3 Atlantic Sun) fell behind No. 9 Florida (24-13, 9-6 SEC) early and never recovered at Hammond Stadium on Tuesday night. The Eagles managed just four hits while starter Brady Anderson worked 4.0 innings on the mound, gave up just two earned runs and struck out three.

The FGCU baseball team (24-13, 9-3 Atlantic Sun) will visit Hammond Stadium, the home of the Fort Myers Miracle and spring training home of the Minnesota Twins, tomorrow night for an instate showdown with No. 9 Florida (23-13, 9-6 SEC) in a rubber match to determine who can claim bragging rights for 2014.

The FGCU baseball team (24-13, 9-3 Atlantic Sun) found themselves locked in a pitcher's duel on Sunday afternoon as Jack English tossed a career-high 7.1 innings but ultimately came away with a loss, 1-0 at the hands of Justin Russell and Jacksonville (12-23, 6-9 A-Sun).
