NCAA Division II Regional Rankings Released

FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Florida Gulf Coast University baseball team is ranked No. 3 in the South Region in this week's NCAA Division II Regional Rankings released Wednesday night. The NCAA will announce the 48-team championship bracket late Sunday night. Six teams in eight regions will be selected to begin regional play on Thursday, May 18 at campus sites to be announced. If the regional play began today, FGCU would play the No. 4 seed, Florida Southern in the first round. The Eagles took two out of three games from Florida Southern when they traveled to Swanson Stadium back in March. The Eagles (38-14) host Rollins College at Swanson Stadium for their final two games of the regular season. On Friday FGCU and Rollins play a 7 p.m. tilt and finish up with a 1 p.m. game on Saturday.
