FORT MYERS, Fla., - Ozzie Borrell was named MVP of the New England Collegiate Baseball League All-Star game over the weekend.
The FGCU senior went 2-for-2 with a two-run homer as he led the North All-Star team to an 8-0 win. Borrell, who was the starting 3B in the game, batted eighth in the order and played five innings. He was the only member of his North Adams SteepleKats team to earn a starting nod in the event.
After his junior season, Borrell was named All-South Region and won the Gold Glove in the South Region as well.
