FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Florida Gulf Coast University baseball team landed four players on the All-Star team for their respective leagues. Chris Sale, Tim Roberson, Richie Erath, and Josh Chester were all named to the All-Star team in three different summer baseball leagues.
Cape Cod Baseball League
Chris Sale, FGCU (SP - Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox) - In the tradition-rich Cape Cod League, Sale leads in strikeouts (42) and has been the league's workhouse, pitching 40 innings. His 1.35 ERA ranks sixth.
Northwoods League
Tim Roberson (So. - C - Alexandria Beetles) - The catcher sports a .297 average with 31 RBI, ranking third in the league.
Richie Erath (LHP - La Crosse Loggers) - In seven starts, owns a 3-1 record with a 1.94 ERA with only seven walks in 41.2 innings pitched.
New England Collegiate Baseball League
Josh Chester (OF - Keene Swamp Bats) - The junior ranks second in the league in hitting with a .379 average.
