FORT MYERS, Fla. – The FGCU baseball program has announced plans for two winter baseball camps, their High School Showcase Camp (Dec. 5-6) and the Holiday Advanced Camp (Dec. 27-28). Two-time Atlantic Sun Coach of the Year Dave Tollett and his staff, who recently led the Eagles to their second consecutive A-Sun regular season title with a 36-18 overall record, will host the camps.

The High School Showcase Camp will be held on December 5th and 6th. The camp will run from 12:00 to 6:00 on the 5th and from 10:00 to 2:00 on the 6th. Past colleges in attendance include, Florida State, Miami, College of Charleston, Lynn University, Flagler College, Tallahassee Community College, Florida Tech, Florida International, and Barry University.
The High School Showcase is $175 for both days.

The 2009 Holiday Advanced Camps will be held on December 27th and 28th and will go from 9:00am to 4:00pm each day. Age limit for camp is 7 to 12 grade. The three camps offered are:
1. ADVANCED HITTING CAMP from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
2. ADVANCED PITCHER / CATCHER CAMP from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
3. ADVANCED INFIELD CAMP from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The Holiday Advanced Camp is $100 for the morning or afternoon two day session, or if you would like to attend both morning and afternoon sessions the total cost is $180.
The focus of the camps are to allow the FGCU baseball coaching staff to provide instruction that will improve the players' overall ability. In addition, campers will receive insight on the college recruiting process, college admission requirements and lectures on what it takes to play at the next level. The two camps have provided numerous players the experience and information necessary to continue their baseball careers beyond their current level.
