FORT MYERS, Fla. - The No. 28 Florida Gulf Coast baseball team’s scheduled gamed against the 10th-ranked University of Miami baseball team Wednesday night at Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field has been postponed due to inclement weather in the area. A make-up date has yet to be determined.
Miami and FGCU were slated to play at 6 p.m. in what was scheduled to be the first of three games between the two teams this season. In addition to Wednesday's postponed game, the other two scheduled meetings have been set for April 14 at Fort Myers’ Hammond Stadium and May 18 in Coral Gables.
The Eagles will now return to the diamond this weekend for a four-game series against Sacred Heart, Feb. 26-28, at Swanson Stadium. Game times are set for 6:30 p.m. on Friday, double header action to start at 1 p.m. on Saturday, and 1 p.m. on Sunday. The Eagles are currently 3-0 on the season after outscoring Temple 39-7 in the season-opening series last weekend.
