After turning in arguably one of the best offensive careers in FGCU history, senior Zach Maxfield's wait to get into the professional ranks is over, as the program's all-time leader in four different statistical categories signed a free agent contract with the Detroit Tigers this past weekend.

FGCU's all-time leader in home runs and RBI, senior Tim Roberson will get a chance to continue his baseball career after signing a free agent contract with the Boston Red Sox on late Thursday night. Roberson has been assigned to the Lowell Spinners of the New York-Penn League and will immediately be on their active roster.

The Eagle Baseball Summer Prospect Camp at FGCU will be held from June 19-22, and the Eagle Baseball Youth Summer Day Camp at FGCU is set for July 11-14.

FGCU baseball senior second baseman Mikel Alvarez added another A-Sun postseason accolade to his illustrious four-year resume on Tuesday when the All-Conference teams were announced by the league office.
