Tuesday Contest with No. 2 Florida State Washed Out for FGCU Baseball

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Game one of the two-game mid-week series between the FGCU baseball team and No. 2 Florida State has been cancelled due to severe thunderstorms in the Tallahassee area. The two teams will meet for one game on Wednesday, April 4 beginning at 4 p.m.

The game will air live over the internet on Seminoles All-Access, while fans can listen to the game on 1270 AM and over the internet at Seminoles.com.

The Eagles’ record sits at 10-18 (4-5 A-Sun) overall entering the Wednesday contest, while No. 2 Florida State heads into the game with a 24-4 (11-1 ACC) mark.

Squaring off with its seventh BCS opponent this season, the Green and Blue hold an 0-4 all-time record against Florida State, which has been nationally ranked (No. 22 - 2009, No. 8 - 2011) in each of the previous meetings. Last season in Tallahassee, the Eagles fell to the Seminoles in each of the two mid-week contests, 13-2, 6-4.
