FORT MYERS, Fla. – The FGCU baseball continues its preparation for a three-game road trip at No. 17 Florida this weekend in Gainesville, Fla. Coverage for all three games at McKethan Stadium will be broadcast live, highlighted by the Sunday series finale airing on Fox Sun Sports beginning at 12:30 p.m.

The Friday (7 p.m.) and Saturday (4 p.m.) matchups between the Eagles and Gators will be available on GatorVision, a live streaming utility at www.GATORZONE.com. A subscription fee will be required for access to the opening two contests. The series finale on Sunday will be aired live on Fox Sun Sports, channel 653 on Directv and 402 on Comcast Xfinity.

Additionally, free live audio for the Friday night matchup will also be available at www.FGCUATHLETICS.com, with Tom James on the call.

FGCU hits the road with a 2-1 record, following a pair of shutouts over St. John’s which bookended a 6-5 extra-inning loss to Notre Dame last weekend at the Snowbird Classic in Sarasota, Fla.

With mid-week contests slated for Tuesday at UCF and Wednesday against Georgia Southern, the Gators hold a 2-1 record following a season-opening series with Duke in Gainesville last weekend.

In the all-time series between the two schools, the Gators hold a 6-1 lead over the Eagles. Last season as the nation’s No. 1 team, Florida was held to a then season-low four hits and three runs in the series finale with the Eagles, while also establishing a new season-low three runs scored. Florida has been nationally ranked in the last four meetings, and FGCU’s lone victory in the series came in the form of a 17-5 win in 2009, when the Gators were ranked No. 9 in the country.
