FORT MYERS, Fla. – The No. 23 FGCU baseball team will conclude its stretch of five games in four days, when it plays host to Big Ten foe Michigan on Monday evening at Swanson Stadium, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The Eagles enter the contest with an 8-3 record, coming off a series win against Manhattan last weekend. FGCU took the opening contest, 6-2, before splitting the Saturday doubleheader with the Jaspers (W 1-0, L 6-5). The Green and Blue earned the series victory with a 3-0 shutout on Sunday afternoon.

FGCU intends to use sophomore right-hander Zack Tillery (Naples, Fla./Barron Collier HS) in the Monday night contest. Marking his third start of the season, the Naples, Fla. product holds a 5.19 ERA with four strikeouts in 8.2 innings on the hill.

Redshirt senior Brooks Beisner (Punta Gorda, Fla./Charlotte HS/Auburn) has led the offensive attack, hitting .500 (22-44) with nine runs scored and team-highs of 15 RBI, four home runs and .909 slugging percentage.

Michigan enters the game with a 5-5 record after going 3-1 at the Snowbird Classic last weekend in Port Charlotte, Fla. The Wolverines defeated Mount St. Mary’s, 8-7, before splitting a doubleheader with Saint Louis (L 8-5, W 11-0). UM capped the weekend with a 5-2 victory over Georgetown on Sunday.

Michigan is set to send redshirt junior left-hander Logan McAnallen (1-0) to the mound to open the game. McAnallen holds a 1.29 ERA through four relief appearances, recording a pair of strikeouts and allowing just one run in seven innings of work.

UM’s offense is led by Michael O’Neill and Patrick Biondi, hitting .447 and .385 respectively. O’Neill has one home run on the year to go with eight RBI and a team-high 12 runs scored, while Biondi has scored 10 times and driven in six RBI.

Marking the fourth-straight year the two squads will meet at Swanson Stadium, FGCU leads the all-time series 2-1, with the Eagles winning the previous two contests. The Green and Blue also hold a 21-18 edge in runs scored in the series.
