Paul Fibbe enters his third season as an assistant coach with the FGCU baseball program, developing the techniques and fundamentals of the catchers with secondary emphasis on position players and hitting.

In his first season with the staff in 2010, Fibbe helped lead the Eagles to a 38-20 record and 25-5 conference mark on the way to the program’s third consecutive Atlantic Sun Conference regular season championship after taking all 10 league series on the season. During the season the Blue and Green outscored their opponents by 126 runs and held a team batting average of .334, an effort that culminated with three position starters earning spots on the A-Sun All-Conference teams at year’s end.

After finishing his playing career with the Eagles in 2008, Fibbe had a one year coaching stint with the Vikings of Bishop Verot High School. There, Fibbe was the head junior varsity coach while assisting Tom LoSauro with the varsity team.

In the summer of 2009 Coach Fibbe joined the coaching staff of the Alexandria Beetles, members of the illustrious Northwoods Collegiate Summer League. There he was the hitting and first base coach and coached three Northwoods League All-Stars that summer.

A native of Jacksonville, Fibbe currently resides in Estero, Fla.
