Sophomore – Named second team All-South Region… Went 8-2 with a 3.60 ERA in 85.0 innings…Was among the national leaders in wins and strikeouts…Made 17 appearances, starting 13 times…Struck out 84 batters while walking just 18…Posted a .259 opponents batting average, best among FGCU starting pitchers…Had a career-high 12 strikeouts on March 30 in a win against Barry…Also fanned10 batters in 8.0 innings while scattering five hits in game at Rollins on March 5, did not factor in the decision…Picked up a win against Notre Dame, going 6.2 innings, surrendering just one earned run…Followed that up with a win at #1 Tampa, going 5.2 innings while striking out six batters…Played for the Alexandria Beetles of the Northwoods League…Named team “Cy Young” award winner…Led team with five wins…Posted a 3.39 ERA in 61 innings of work…Made seven starts and appeared in 19 games.
Freshman - Richard appeared in 17 games, finished with a 2-1 record with one save and one complete game. Richard had an ERA of just 2.10 with 34 strikeouts and eight earned runs in 34 innings pitched.
Prep - 2005 graduate of South Plantation High School…Played for Coach Mike White…Richard was selected to the county and state all star games in 2005.
