Volleyball Unveils Challenging 2010 Schedule
Coming off a second place finish at the Atlantic Sun Championship, FGCU Head Volleyball Coach Dave Nichols has announced the 2010 schedule. The Blue and Green will play 10 home contests, all 10 Atlantic Sun foes plus travel to the University of Georgia and Oregon State University to participate in a pair of tournaments.

Mazziotta Finishes Fifth at U.S. Amateur Qualifier
After opening with a one-under par 71 in Monday’s opening round, FGCU men’s golf senior-to-be Dan Mazziotta closed out play at the U.S. Amateur sectional qualifier by finishing in fifth place out of the 39-player field at Old Corkscrew Golf Club on Tuesday.

Varidel Turns In Strong Showing At European Championship
FGCU men’s basketball incoming freshman Christophe Varidel connected on 5-of-9 from three-point range for a team-high 24 points en route to leading Switzerland to a 73-62 win over Belarus to conclude play at the 2010 U-20 European Men’s Basketball Championship in Austria.
