Men's Hoops Look to Start A-Sun Play 2-0

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., - The FGCU men’s basketball team is looking to start Atlantic Sun play 2-0 and is also looking for their third straight win when they take on Jacksonville on Saturday afternoon.

FGCU is coming off of a pair of wins over Penn and UNF and over their last three games, are holding opponents to %38.5 from the floor while forcing 21 turnovers per game. Terike Barrowes (Pompano Beach, Fla.) has been a key in the Eagles last three games by reaching double figures in all three. The 6-7 senior forward is averaging 10.7 points per outing.

The Eagles have never faced the Dolphins, who snapped an eight game losing streak with a triple overtime win over Stetson on Thursday night. JU saw four starters play over 40 minutes in their marathon 98-94 win. Ben Smith led the team with 33 points while three other players reached double figures. Seven players fouled out of the game that saw 80 free-throw attempts.
