DUNK CITY, Fla. – FGCU Athletics is offering children in grades 1-7 an opportunity to show their support of the men’s and women’s basketball teams as they play in the postseason by submitting artwork which will be displayed inside Alico Arena and on official FGCU social media platforms.

The men (22-12) are playing in the NIT for the first time in program history courtesy of their first Atlantic Sun Conference regular-season championship. The Eagles will learn their opponent on Sunday night and will open NIT action on either Tuesday, Mar. 18, or Wednesday, Mar. 19.

The women (24-7) are hosting the semifinals and final of the A-Sun Championship on Saturday, Mar. 15, and Sunday, Mar. 16, and will either play in the NCAA Tournament or WNIT beginning next week. The Eagles tip off semifinal action at 1 p.m. Saturday against fifth-seeded Mercer.

All artwork should be submitted on 8.5x11 paper and either emailed to Denise Da Silveira (denised@fgcu.edu) or mailed to the following address:

10501 FGCU Blvd. South

Both basketball programs thank the Eagle family for record-breaking attendance all year, and now are giving children the chance to display their support.
