NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Reggie Chambers scored a career-high 20 points as the Bruins of Belmont defeated the Eagles 79-67 Monday night at the Curb Event Center.
With the win Belmont improves to 7-6 overall and 3-1 in conference, while the Eagles fall to 5-10 on the season and 1-3 in the A-Sun.
Chambers (Miramar, Fla.) and Reed Baker (Naples, Fla.) led the Eagles with 20 points apiece. Chamvers shot 8-of-13 from the field, including 2-of-5 from three-point range. Delvin Franklin (Houston, Tex.) chipped in with 12 points and a team-high five steals.
The next game for the Eagles is Thursday, January 8 when they host Stetson. Tip-off for the contest is set for 7:15 p.m.
