FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast University basketball players Anthony Banks and Hunter Miller, along with other collegiate players, will travel with Sports Reach, to China May 7 through May 17 to compete in six games against several college teams as well as a Pro B teams.
In addition to the multiple games, the Sports Reach team will use the platform of sport to connect with the athletes and share their ministry. The cultural exchange trip will be made up of eight current or former college players that will be coached by former University of Kentucky star, Kyle Macy, who is making his third trip with Reach USA. The squad consists of Banks (Lantana, Fla.) and Miller (Nashville, Tenn.) along with current college players Zach Newton (Tennessee Tech), Jordan Myers (So. Illinois), and Eric Davis (Mississippi College) and also former college players Tyrell Ware (Virginia Intermont), Brandon Snowden (Berea), and Chris Early (Transylvania).
Sports Reach is a Christian Sports Ministry that was founded in 1986 by former Kentucky star Larry Pursiful and Robby Speer. This ministry uses sports to share Christ around the world.
