For the first time in program history, the FGCU men’s cross country team has been ranked the latest South Region poll conducted by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Behind three student-athletes finishing in the field’s top 20, the FGCU men’s cross country team placed fourth in the 10-team field at Atlantic Sun Conference Championships, Saturday morning at Buckingham Park in Buckingham, Fla.

FGCU will host the 2012 Atlantic Sun Conference Cross Country Championships this Saturday, Oct. 27 in Buckingham, Fla. The women’s 5K is scheduled to start 8:45 a.m. followed by the men’s 8K at 9:30 a.m.

The FGCU cross country teams are set to complete at the 2012 Walt Disney World Invitational this Saturday, October 6, at the Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Fla. The men’s team will compete in the 8k at 7:45 a.m. followed by the women’s 5k, which is scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m.
