Men's Cross Country Finishes 8th at A-Sun Championship

NASHVILLE, Tenn., - The FGCU men’s Cross Country team finished the season finishing 8th in the Atlantic Sun Championships in Nashville, Tenn.

“I was really pleased with our overall performance today,” stated Head Coach Chris Highfield. “Our freshmen really stepped up and led the pack for us today. Ian McParland, Noe Pena and Josh Brooks stepped up. Brooks had a personal record today and I am proud of the way we performed as a team.”

McParland paced the team with a time of 27:30, finishing 30th. Pena was 38th with a time of 27:49 while Brooks ran a 28:00 to cross 44th. Kyle Brunett’s 28:03 was good for 46th while Ismael Galica was the final Eagle to score, posting a 28:53.

Belmont won the event with a team score of 30, ETSU was second with a 46. The Eagles scored a 204 to finish 8th.
