Men's Golf Climbs Two Spots on Final Day
ALLENDALE, Mich., FGCU's men's golf team rose two spots on the final day of the NCAA Division II Championships. FGCU finished 16th in the event.
FGCU shot their best round of the event on the final day, shooting a 293 and finish the tournament in 16th place. Robert Taylor, Michael Hart and Kyle Henderson all finished within four strokes of each other. Taylor led the trio at +20 while Hart finished +21 and Henderson was +23. Stephen Taylor finished +35.
Barry, wound up as the National Champion at +50 while future Atlantic Sun rival USC-Upstate finished second at +51.
The 2007 men's golf championship marked the final event FGCU competed in as a member of NCAA Division II. Next season, FGCU will add three new sports and join NCAA Division I and the Atlantic Sun Conference.
