Men's Golf Finishes Third in Matlock Classic

LAKELAND, Fla., - The Florida Gulf Coast University men’s golf team finished in third place at the Matlock Collegiate Classic.
Nova Southeastern won the event with a combined score of 865 while Matthew Galloway won the individual title with a 212 score. Barry finished second while FGCU shot an 875 to finish 10 strokes behind.
Steven Taylor (Canton, Ill.) who was the co-leader finished in third with a 214. Robert Taylor (Inverness, Fla.) finished in a tie for 12th place with a 219. Kyle Henderson (Clermont, Fla.) and Kyle Hammond (Windmere, Fla.) are the other Eagles who scored in the event at 221 and 223.
The Eagles will be back in action March 5-6 when they compete in the 2007 Panther Invitational hosted by Florida Tech.
