Men's Golf Finishes 9th at the 2008 Diet Pepsi Shocker Golf Classic

WICHITA, Kan. - The FGCU men's golf team finished ninth at the 2008 Diet Pepsi Shocker Golf Classic, which was held at the Wichita Country Club.
Robert Taylor paced the Eagles with a sixth place (tied) performance in the tournament, posting a team-best 215(72-73-70), nine shots off the tournament winner Kevin Carrigan from UTA. Taylor's third-round 70 was the best score posted by a FGCU golfer during the tournament.
Michael Hart (228=73-75-80) and Kyle Henderson (229=75-78-76) were the second and third-leading scorers for the Eagles, both finishing tied for 46th and 53rd, respectively. Daniel Mazziotta (230=75-74-81) and Kyle Hammond (230=74-83-73) rounded out the scoring for the Eagles.
The Eagles will wrap up the spring season on April 19 at the Naval Academy Spring Invitational in Annapolis, Md.
