The FGCU men's golf team captured yet another FGCU/Grandezza Intercollegiate championship Tuesday afternoon.  

FGCU beat its nearest competitor (Barry) by 21 strokes as all five Eagles finished in the top ten.

The Eagles were paced by Joey Lamielle, who won his fifth career tournament championship, and is currently ranked in the top 20 among all NCAA divisions.  Lamielle shot a 70 in the final round to give him an overall score of -3 under for the tournament.

Junior David Steele finished third overall as he finished with a 72 the final day giving him a +2 over score.

Allister Monro tied for fourth place as he finished +6 over for the tournament.

Justin McCarraher tied for sixth place as he shot an impressive 71 the final day giving him a +7 over for the tournament.

Rounding out the Eagles squad was Senior Chris Trout who tied for tenth place.  Trout shot a 77 on the final day to give him a score of +10 over for the tournament.
