Men's Golf Finishes 6th at Tillinghast Invitational

SCARSDALE, NY – The Florida Gulf Coast University men’s golf team competed in the Tillinghast Invitational hosted by St.John’s University and placed 6th overall with a team score of 622. St.John’s University finished first with a score of 591.
The top finisher for the Eagles was Senior Drew Pierson (Lockport, Ill.) who tied for 9th with a two day final score of 150. Freshman Kyle Hammond (Windermere, Fla) shot a 77 in the first round and a 78 in the final round giving him a final score of 155 and placing him 22nd overall. Kyle Henderson (Clermont, Fla.) tied for 27th with a score of 158. Freshman Chris Covelli (Amherst, NY) tied for 31st with a score of 159. Junior Kyle Bilodeau (Manchester, Ct) tied for 38th with a final score of 165.
FGCU will now prepare for the Rollins College Invitational on October 31st through November 1st in Ocoee, Fl.
