Eagles Conclude First Day at Mizuno Savannah Intercollegiate

SAVANNAH, Ga. – Following the opening two rounds of play at the Mizuno Savannah Intercollegiate Tournament in Savannah, Ga., the Florida Gulf Coast University men’s golf team is currently in ninth place. Leading the way for the Eagles, Junior Daniel Mazziotta is tied for fifth overall.

At the end of the first day, FGCU submitted a team score of 586 (294-292). Mazziotta (Fort Myers, Fla.) has two-round score of 141 (71-70).

East Carolina University leads the 15 team field heading into the final day with a score of 564 (284-280).

The final round of competition begins at 8 a.m. Tuesday morning as FGCU, Kennesaw State and Jacksonville University tee off on the front nine.
