Coming off a record fourth-straight Atlantic Sun Conference regular-season title, the FGCU men's soccer team will kick off its preparations for the 2014 campaign when the spring schedule gets underway Sunday against MLS member Chicago Fire and continues through the middle of March with four additional friendly matches set against another MLS team, a Canadian University, a semi-pro club and the Under-17 U.S. National Team.

Before training, Florida Gulf Coast University players have five minutes to themselves. Players are never shy about blowing off steam before the serious work starts, but the ways this team passes time without a coach's instruction take far more skill than smashing a ball on goal with no warm-up.

The FGCU Men's Soccer team (8-7-2, 6-1-1 Atlantic Sun) saw its season come to an end on Friday evening at the hands of the North Florida Ospreys (8-6-3, 2-4-2 A-Sun) who will make their first trip to the A-Sun finals on Sunday at 1 p.m. opposite the Buccaneers of ETSU.
