Preparing to defend its back-to-back Atlantic Sun regular season titles and its first-ever A-Sun Tournament championship, the FGCU men’s soccer team is set to compete in five spring exhibition matches, including three against MLS squads.

The FGCU men’s soccer team recently volunteered at the Immokalee Youth Soccer Clinic, helping develop the soccer skills of boys and girls aged 4-12.

After leading the program to its second consecutive Atlantic Sun Conference regular season championship and securing its first ever A-Sun Tournament championship this past fall season, FGCU men’s soccer seniors Josey Portillo and Cristian Raudales have been invited to join to the D.C. United club during its exhibition contest with the Chicago Fire this Sunday, Jan. 29 at the FGCU Soccer Complex beginning at 2 p.m.

The Florida Gulf Coast University men's soccer team will hold open tryouts on February 3 from 3:30-5 p.m. at the FGCU Soccer Complex.

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) released its 2011 University Division Scholar All-South Region Team on Tuesday. Earning a 3.43 GPA as a dual major in business management and marketing, FGCU men’s soccer redshirt senior goalkeeper Adam Glick was recognized with an honorable mention by the media outlet.

After helping the FGCU men's soccer team repeat its Atlantic Sun regular season title while also clinching the A-Sun Tournament Championship in its first year of postseason eligibility this season, freshman goalkeeper Nathan Ingham received an invitation to the Canadian U-20 camp which will take place in Sunrise, Fla.

As the 2011 NCAA Men’s College Cup ® got underway in Hoover, Ala. on Friday, the Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award Foundation announced its 2011 recipient and All-America teams. Selected as one of four first team All-America members was FGCU men’s soccer redshirt senior goalkeeper Adam Glick.
