MACON, Ga. – Adam Glick’s 17 saves in the opening weekend of A-Sun play has earned the freshman goalkeeper A-Sun Defensive Player of the Week Honors.

The award was announced Monday afternoon following Glick’s exceptional performance against Campbell and Mercer.

Against league favorite Campbell, who came into the game as the top scoring team in the A-Sun, Glick recorded 13 saves in a 2-2 tie. Glick’s 13 saves are the most recorded by an A-Sun keeper this season.

Two days later against Mercer, Glick tallied four saves for his first collegiate shutout in the Eagles 1-0 win.

Glick, a freshman from Leola, Pa. picked up his second Defensive Player of the Week this season. He also won the award for the week of September 10. He is the first Atlantic Sun men’s soccer player to win two Player of the Week awards. He leads the league in saves with 42.
