Facilities Update: Soccer Complex Starting to Look Green
Wednesday, December 05, 2007

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Construction of the new FGCU Soccer Complex took a big step in its completion process. On Wednesday morning, (Dec. 5) workers began laying sod on the new facility that will house the FGCU men’s and women’s soccer teams. The Soccer Complex will be complete in time for the Eagles second season in Division I play.

"We know this is going to be a top-notch facility when it is complete, but it is still very exciting to see the surface getting put down,” said head men’s soccer coach Bob Butehorn. “This program has a bright future in front of it, and it's something special to be here to help lay the foundation for it ...literally.”
