Adam Glick Wins A-Sun Player of the Week

MACON, Ga. - In the A-Sun Game of the Week, UNF forward Adam O’Neill netted two goals to earn his first career Player of the Week. FGCU goalkeeper Adam Glick anchored the Eagles defense to pick up his fourth shutout of the season to earn his third career Defensive Player of the Week award, the conference announced Monday.

O’Neill posted his goals to help the Ospreys finish the season with a 3-0, win against Coastal Carolina. He tops the UNF squad in goals (8) and assists (4) and is third in the conference in points (20). The London, England native is part of the programs’ highest winning team since UNF made the transition into Division I.

Sophomore Glick held the Eagles defense and picked up his fourth shutout of the season in FGCU’s 2-0, win against FAU on Saturday night. Glick notched six saves in goal for FGCU. The business major is fourth in the A-Sun with a 1.36 goals against average. He also ranks fourth in the A-Sun with four shutouts and 66 saves.

Aaron Johnson, CAM (Sr. - GK - St. Charles, Mo. - Business Administration) - Johnson ran his scoreless string to 570 minutes with his sixth-consecutive shutout as 24th-ranked Campbell defeated High Point 2-0 for the Camels' 11th-straight win. Johnson also moved into second place on A-Sun and school charts for career shutouts (21) after tying Peter Moore’s 1986 Campbell record with his ninth of the 2008 campaign. He leads the A-Sun in goals-against average (0.83), save percentage (.808) and shutouts (9) and has played all 1632 minutes in the nets for the Camels this year.

Francesco DiStefano, FGCU (Fr. - MF - Kissimmee, Fla. - Sports Management) - DiStefano registered a goal and an assist in the Eagles 2-0 win over FAU on Saturday night. DiStefano's goal gives him six on the season, tying him for first on the team.
