Price Named to Top 100 Freshmen List by College Soccer News

Price is the only freshman in the Atlantic Sun Conference to make the list and one of five players from the state of Florida.
A native of Melbourne Beach, Fla., Price made an instant impact for the Eagles by opening his collegiate career with both goals in the team’s 2-0 win over the University of Tampa in the first exhibition match of the season. Price tallied the two goals just 13 minutes a part in the second half.
Price led Melbourne to consecutive Florida High School Athletic Association State Championships in 2009 (6A) and 2010 (5A), respectively. As a senior in the 5A title game, Price notched three goals to cap a career in which he found the back of the net a startling 85 times. Price also passed out 41 assists to finish his career with 211 points. As a senior, Price had 33 goals and 17 assists en route being named a Gatorade Player of the Year nominee and the 2010 Space Coast Player of the Year. Aside from his high school career, he was a member of the U.S. Youth Soccer Region III ODP team from 2005-10. .
After going 1-0-1 in the preseason without allowing a goal, FGCU opens the season on Wednesday at No. 13 USF in Tampa, Fla. at 7:30 p.m. The Eagles will be out for revenge after suffering a heartbreaking 1-0 loss to the then-No.11 Bulls in 2009.
