Bob Butehorn remembers Jon Koshko being the first player to contact him after he took the FGCU men's soccer job four years ago and started it from scratch.

Since then, Koshko has been the epitome of what Butehorn would want in a player as he built his foundation. A captain, Koshko overcame an injury that led him to missing a season. He has played multiple positions - winger, midfielder, defender. Less than 48 hours after scoring FGCU's first goal this season, Butehorn asked him to move to center back, where Koshko would help organize the Eagles' defense.
