Named to the Atlantic Sun All-Freshmen team … finished the season with two points on a pair of assists … helped the Eagles to a 12-6-2 overall record while securing the program’s second straight A-Sun regular season title with a 7-1 league mark … part of defensive backline which posted four shutouts on the season while ranking second in the A-Sun in goals allowed (23) and third in goals against average (1.11) … made his collegiate debut in the 3-1 loss against FAU (Aug. 26) … earned his first collegiate point on an assist in the 2-1 loss at ETSU (Oct. 16) … setup the game-winning goal in the Eagles’ 2-1 semifinal victory over fourth-seeded Mercer (Nov. 11) in the A-Sun Championship Tournament … helped the Green and Blue earn the A-Sun’s automatic berth into the NCAA Championship Tournament with a 1-0 blanking of sixth-seeded ETSU (Nov. 13) in the league tournament final.

High School
A 2009 graduate of Saint Paul College … member of the Saprissa youth team … crowned UNCAF champion with Costa Rican U-17 National team … also helped team qualify and compete in Nigerian U-17 World Cup in 2009, which he lists as his favorite sports moment … participated in International competitions against Argentina, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Trinidad & Tobago, Mexico, Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Canada, New Zealand, Turkey and Burquina Faso.

Born May 10, 1992 … civil engineering major … son of Jose Antonio Crespo and Yvonne Pauly … has three siblings, brother Jose Antonio Crespo Jr. (27), and sisters Maria Rebeca Crespo (29) and Maria Jose Crespo (24) … chose FGCU because of the very good academic programs and the great men’s soccer team.
