As A Senior (2011)
Member of the Eagles backline in 17 contests, making 16 starts … finished the season with two points on one goal … contributed to three shutouts on the season, including the 1-0 blanking of ETSU (Nov. 13) in the Atlantic Sun Championship final which sent the Eagles into the NCAA Tournament in their first year of postseason eligibility … helped the Green and Blue to a 12-6-2 overall record while securing back-to-back A-Sun regular season championships with a 7-1 league mark … part of defensive effort which tied for second in the A-Sun in goals allowed (23) and ranked third in goals against average (1.11) … recorded his first collegiate goal on Senior Day, finding the back of the net in the 3-1 defeat of Belmont (Oct. 23).
As A Junior (2010)
Saw action in 15 contests and made 11 starts on the year … part of a defensive unit the recorded a program-best nine shutouts on the year, which ranked first in the conference … defense also topped the league in goals allowed (11) and goals against average (0.58) … opened the season with a 2-1 win over No. 13 USF (Sept. 1) and later shutout No. 5 Ohio State (Sept. 18) … helped the squad to a program-best eight-game winning streak that included a stretch of four-consecutive shutouts over A-Sun foes … led FGCU to an overall record of 13-3-2 and a perfect 9-0 A-Sun mark, outscoring league opposition 26-2 … active in securing FGCU’s first A-Sun conference regular season championship … helped the Eagles to their first national ranking, landing as high as No. 19 and ending the year No. 20 according to Soccer America.
As A Sophomore (2009)
Competed in nine matches and started four contests ... recorded a shot on goal against Jacksonville (Oct. 4) ... played a season-high 60 minutes against Belmont (Oct. 9) … helped a defense that finished first in the A-Sun in shutouts and second in goals against average (1.21) … contributed to the first winning-season in program history, holding an 8-7-1 record and a 6-3-0 conference record.
As A Freshman (2008)
Named to the “100 Freshmen to Keep an Eye on in 2008” list by College Soccer News ... started in all 18 games ... helped anchor a strong defensive unit ... made collegiate debut in the 2-1 loss at Ohio State (Aug. 30) ... finished campaign with one assist and three shots ... recorded first collegiate point on an assist in the 3-1 victory over East Tennessee State (Oct. 31).
Led Varela High School to consecutive state championships his junior and senior year ... named to the NSCAA Boys High School All-American team … participated in Adidas ESP 2005-2007 ... ESP All-Star in 2007 ... member of the ODP State team for three years, Y-League ODP National Select team, All-Dade first team 2008, Cagliari Calcio Strike Force, and Miami FC Kendall, which is one of the premier programs in the country ... traveled to Germany with the Y-League National Select team ... also traveled to Italy to train with Cagliari Calcio.
