Men's Tennis Sweeps Colgate

FORT MYERS, Fla., - The FGCU men’s tennis team ran through Colgate with a 7-0 sweep on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles even their record at 5-5 while Colgate falls to 2-6.

The Eagles swept the three doubles matches for the point in doubles. Brenton Bacon and Andrew Kam won at #1 8-5 to help the Eagles win the first point of the match. Ricardo Hernandez returned from injury to win 6-2, 6-2 at the #1 spot. The Eagles were also straight set winners in the other five singles spots. Andrew Kam won 6-2, 602 as well at #2 and Ervin Garibovic won convincingly 6-2, 6-3 at the #3 position. Danny Lee, Edson Lima and Gonzalo Davilla won in the #4-#6 spots respectively.

FGCU will look to move to 6-5 on Tuesday March, 18 when they host Wisconsin-Milwaukee at the FGCU Tennis Complex.
