“We greatly appreciate Gary’s and David’s willingness to serve as our inaugural Roundtable speakers,” said Kavanagh. “They bring a wealth of experience and insights regarding the college and pro football landscapes that we know our guests will tremendously enjoy hearing. We also want to thank Ameriprise Financial and Big Al’s for their support in making this evening possible. In turn, we hope that this will be the commencement of many additional such opportunities for our Eagles Club to provide a platform for our community to hear from some of the many renowned athletic celebrities and leaders who reside in SW Florida.”

The night will begin with a cocktail reception from 6:30-7 p.m. followed by dinner and the program. The event will benefit the FGCU Athletics Eagles Club. Newly-appointed FGCU men's basketball head coach Andy Enfield and two-time A-Sun women's basketball Coach of the Year Karl Smesko will also be in attendance.

Danielson joined CBS in 2006 as a college football analyst and now works with Verne Lundquist on the network’s primary broadcast team during SEC telecasts. Danielson threw for over 13,000 yards and 81 touchdowns during an 11-year NFL career with the Detroit Lions and Cleveland Browns. A two-year starter at Purdue University, Danielson joined ESPN as a college football analyst following his NFL career and worked in the same capacity for ESPN/ABC Sports until 2006.

Co-Host of ESPN 770 AM’s “Miller and Moulton in the Afternoon” that runs during the week from 2-7 p.m. in Southwest Florida, Moulton is also a contributing feature writer for the Naples Daily News. Moulton is Danielson’s in-game spotter during CBS’ broadcasts of SEC football. He has also served as a MC for several FGCU events over the department’s first 10 years and will do the same at this December’s Night at the Nest featuring former University of Florida head coach Urban Meyer.
