Kavanagh Elected as D-I Athletics Directors Association Officer
FORT MYERS, Fla. - The members of the Division I-AAA Athletics Directors Association (D1-AAA ADA) have chosen their officers for 2009-10.
FGCU Athletic Director Ken Kavanagh was chosen as the 3rd Vice President.
Jean Lenti Ponsetto, director of athletics at DePaul University, was selected to serve as president for 2009-10. Also elected to serve DI-AAA ADA for the 2009-10 term were 1st Vice President Brian Quinn, director of athletics at California State University Fullerton; 2nd Vice President Joel Thirer, director of athletics at Binghamton University; Secretary John Suarez, director of athletics at Long Island University Brooklyn; and Treasurer Keith Gill, director of athletics at American University.
The 2009-10 Executive Committee includes the following athletics directors: Troy Austin, Longwood University; Ken Bothof, University of Wisconsin Green Bay; Peg Bradley-Doppes, University of Denver; Vic Cegles, Long Beach State University; Dan Coonan, Santa Clara University; Don DiJulia, St. Joseph's University; Gene Doris, Fairfield University; Tim Hall, University of Missouri Kansas City; Bill Hogan, Seattle University; Pat Meiser, University of Hartford; Dave Mullins, East Tennessee State University; and Bruce Rasmussen, Creighton University. America East Conference Commissioner Pat Nero serves as a conference commissioner representative on the Executive Committee.
