FORT MYERS, Fla. – FGCU Athletics and Virtual Rabbit, LLC have announced the launch of virtual tours of the FGCU athletic facilities that will be available on the official website of the Eagles, www.FGCUAthletics.com. This new feature to the website begins the partnership between FGCU and Virtual Rabbit and will bring fans closer than ever to the FGCU athletic program.
“We are extremely pleased with the addition of the virtual tour component to our website,” said FGCU Director of Athletics Ken Kavanagh. “We believe that it further enhances our already informative site in a manner that allows our visitors to get an even truer feeling of what life as an FGCU Eagle student-athlete or fan is like.”
Fans of the Eagles can use the virtual tours to get an inside look at the FGCU locker rooms, team lounges, the 20,000-square-foot Outdoor Sports Complex, along with the other FGCU athletic facilities.
“Virtual Rabbit is proud to partner with FGCU Athletics and is excited to be part of the University’s move into Division I,” said Virtual Rabbit Account Executive Jason Bloch. “This virtual tour is a great way for prospective student-athletes and fans to see everything that makes FGCU Athletics so attractive…in stunning 360° high definition.”
Virtual Rabbit (www.virtualrabbit.com), officially launched in October, 2007, is the brain child of Vince Sabatino and Jay Maakestad. While owning and operating a successful mortgage company in western Iowa, Vince and Jay began investigating the idea of creating a virtual tour company. They saw that a lot of Virtual Tour companies in the marketplace were mostly about slide shows, and they wanted to provide a product and service that was better. They believed that a business or real estate listing could be dramatically enhanced by a virtual tour that was fully interactive. So they teamed up with the top notch tech development team at the nDeviX Corporation in Chicago to create Virtual Rabbit.
