Notes:
Andy Enfield enters his first season as the frontman at FGCU after being introduced as the second coach in FGCU men's basketball history last spring. Enfield comes to Fort Myers after serving as an assistant coach at Florida State for the past five seasons, where he helped the Seminoles to three-straight NCAA Tournament Appearances.
• The Eagles enter their first season for NCAA Postseason Eligibility after a four-year transition period from Division II. During those four years, FGCU posted double-digit wins in three seasons and claimed seven A-Sun victories on two occasions including last season when they finished a program-best seventh in the conference standings.
• Three of the Eagles top-five scorers from last season return for this year's schedule and are led by Christophe Varidel (11.5), Sherwood Brown (7.0) and Kevin Cantinol (6.5). Cantinol led the team in field-goal percentage at .520, while Varidel's 2.6 three-pointers made per contest was best on the team.
• FGCU will sport a young team this season as four upperclassmen adorn the roster including seniors Cantinol and Ed Rolax, while the Eagles welcome six freshmen into the fold in Fort Myers. Last season, Vardiel landed on the A-Sun All-Freshman team as an unanimous choice.
