Coming off a fifth-straight Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) title, the FGCU women’s swimming and diving team had its conference ranked as the 13th deepest in the 2013 conference comparison by CollegeSwimming.com on Monday, June 24.

Sophomore Emma Svensson (Upsala, Sweden/Celsiusskolan) of the FGCU swimming and diving team, has qualified to represent Sweden at the World University Games, held in Kazan, Russia on July 6-17, with the swimming portion taking place from July 10-16.

FGCU head swimming and diving coach and four-time CCSA Coach of the Year Neal Studd has announced the dates for his 2013 Swim Camps. Studd and his staff will hold three sessions: session 1: June 8 - June 13 Intensive Swim Camp, session 2: June 17 - June 21 for all campers, session 3: June 22 - June 23 for all campers at the FGCU Aquatic Center.

FGCU's current Olympians, Danielle Beaubrun (Vieux Fort, St. Lucia/The Bolles School) and Karen Vilorio (Teguciagalpa, Honduras/Elvel School) will hit the water on the second competition day in the 30th Summer Olympic Games on Sunday, July 29, around 5 a.m. locally. Head Coach Neal Studd will be coaching Beaubrun for St. Lucia, while Vilorio will be competing for Honduras.
